Gearing up for the future
After the completion of the latest new building programme involving 6 state-of-the-art 6,100 cars capacity PCTCs (Pure Car/Truck Carrier) in 1998/2000, Höegh Autoliners deep-sea fleet consists of 25 owned vessels. These are supplemented by a significant number of chartered vessels both on time charter and voyage charter basis, so that we at any time operate 40-50 vessels in our 10 deep-sea services world-wide. In 2003 Höegh Autoliners-controlled vessels will carry over 1 million car equivalent units in all its deep-sea trades world-wide.
To further emphasise our commitment to our customers' expectations and requirements, Höegh Autoliners implemented a formal quality system and received ISO 9002 certification in 1998, and we are currently in the process of obtaining environmental ISO 14001 certification for all our company-owned vessels. Höegh Autoliners are also investing in IT technology both in back office and front end systems in order to offer our customers good services.
