STX Pan Ocean Australia
STX Pan Ocean is a Korean company which was established in 1966 as a dry-bulk carrier,
later expanding into breakbulk and containerised liner services to and from Korea.
STX is now firmly recognised as an Intra Asia regional Carrier by extending its service area to cover
SE Asia, India Sub-Continent and the Middle East, adding to their strong established presence in Far East Asia.
In 2008, in conjunction with Hanjin (Korean), Heung-A (Korean) and Sinotrans (Chinese),
STX has expanded its International coverage by entering into the CKA (China Korea Australia) consortium.
The weekly service rotation is as follows:
Pusan / Shanghai / Ningbo / Kaohsiung / MEL / SYD / BNE / Pusan.
The service is operating 5 x 1300 teu vessels of which STX owns and operates one - the Ocean Emerald.
STX's Head Office is based in Seoul. STX own 64 ships and charter approximately 300 further ships at any given time.
