Due to continued substantial growth of the business, we are looking for a Shared Services Manager (SSM) to lead, develop and manage a team of 15 across Accounts Payable and Receivable. The SSM will manage and oversee all transactional processes, along with driving process improvements, process mapping and delivering a high performance team and outcomes.


Reporting to the Group Financial Controller , you will oversee this division and your duties will include:

  • Effectively lead, manage and develop staff in our AP and AR teams
  • Proactively seek ongoing improvements and efficiencies in all activities
  • Optimise existing  systems and processes to achieve strategic goals
  • Build effective working relationships with all stakeholders and provide support as required
  • Reporting duties and other varying tasks to assist the leadership team
  • Participate, run and promote team building initiatives and mentoring
  • Data analysis/Data maintenance and improvements
  • Oversee and ensure the smooth operation and processing of supplier invoices in the relevant workflow system
  • Ensure payment runs and all monthly processing is completed within agreed timeframes
  • Oversee projects and implementations of key initiatives relating to transformation and process improvement
  • Ensure that clear AP & AR policies and procedures are established, implemented and understood by all stakeholders
  • Ensure accounts activities and reconciliations are completed within a timely manner, with a hands on approach as needed
  • Monthly reconciling and clearing internal accounts
  • KPI setting and reporting


  • This is a permanent, full-time position
  • Standard office hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm
  • Southbank based – Our office is located in the IBM Tower
  • Flexible work from home arrangements available


Candidate profile 

  • You will be a skilled candidate with an in depth knowledge of best practice in shared services within a large scale business, minimum 5 years
  • Experience in a shared service group overseeing AP and AR
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Intermediate to Advanced computer skills with MS Excel and Office
  • Take a proactive approach to the management of workflow and processes
  • Ability to manage upwards and downwards with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Experience working on ad-hoc projects
  • Can work to tight deadlines and deliver results
  • Approachable and self-motivated
  • Ability to adapt quickly
