SEAWAY is seeking a full-time Warehouse Manager to manage and oversee the day-to-day warehouse operations, based at our Merbein location.

To be successful in this position, our ideal candidate will have experience managing and leading a team, excellent planning and organisational skills, and have demonstrated skills in managing high peak seasonal demands. In addition, we are seeking candidates with experience working in the perishable freight sector so they can hit the ground running.

Your Main Responsibilities:

• Set the standard for all team members including but not limited to OH&S, general conduct and behaviour
• Manage staff resources including recruitment, rostering, timekeeping, overtime etc.
• Allocate tasks and ensure staff are appropriate trained 
• Ensure all paperwork, documentation and steps are completed accurately on time by operations
• Regular and effective liaison with warehouse and transport teams to maintain overall site productivity
• Oversee stock control
• Participate and sometimes run Toolbox meetings
• Oversee daily site operations and identify continuous improvement initiatives
• Oversee equipment and warehouse maintenance
• Customer relationship management
• Develop and implement SOPs
• Ensure OH&S procedures are strictly followed at all times by staff and visitors
• Assistance with special projects, reporting and general administration

About You 

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following: 

• Warehouse Operations Experience (at least 2-3 years), preferably in a leadership role 
• Adaptable and proactive in identifying creative solutions to problems
• Able to delegate and lead a team 
• Collaborative team player 
• Professional, confident communication 
• Strong organisational skills and demonstrated ability to multitask and manage time effectively 
• Innovative thinker who embraces change 
• Ability to self-motivate as required 

How can you stand out?

• Knowledge of CargoWise One 
• Forklift Licence 
• Staff management experience
