Cargo Services Officer

Located in Mascot, Sydney (NSW)

AIRWAY GSA is seeking a proactive Cargo Services Officer to join our Sydney office in Mascot. This full-time role is ideal for someone with airline industry experience who is looking to develop their career within a stable and growing organisation.
  
You will support cargo operations across multiple international airlines, receiving comprehensive training to build your skills and confidence across airline systems and processes. This role reports directly to the National Sales Manager, you’ll work as part of a close knit team while also managing your responsibilities independently.

The Role
Key responsibilities include:  
  • Undertake data entry and data capture activities as requested.
  • Become conversant with each of our customer airline’s cargo reservation systems and manage their cargo uplift
  • Assist with the cargo sales and marketing activities of our customer airlines
  • Process payments, prepare quotations and distribute statements at month end
  • Complete flight planning and day of operations requirements across our contracted airlines.
  • Maintain best practices of flight management to maximise uplift and revenue.
This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 9am–5:00pm.

About You
You are organised, detail-oriented and confident learning new systems, with the ability to work well in a team and under pressure.
  
Required Skills & Experience:    
  • At least 2 years airline industry experience
  • Confident learning new computer systems and internal procedures
  • Be an excellent team player and be able to work effectively under pressure
  • Display excellent communication skills, ability to converse with people of all levels and is well organised, efficient and effective
  • Cargowise experience will be highly regarded
