AIRWAY is an Australian-owned air cargo services company that first began operations in 2010. Since then, we have achieved remarkable growth and proudly service our clients in the following activities throughout Australia and New Zealand: 

• Wholesale Air Freight Handling (Import & Export)
• Cargo Terminal Operations (International & Domestic) 
• General Sales Agent (International & Domestic)

From modest beginnings, we now comprise over 100 team members across several freight handling sites in Australia.

Our Brisbane Airport facility is our largest operation and we are looking for a passionate individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys finding new ways to achieve goals as a team. 

THE ROLE 

Snapshot:

• Hands-on management role in a RACA facility 
• Fast-paced environment where balancing timing with compliance is critical, without compromising safety
• Ownership of day to day warehouse activities and team performance
• Responsible for ensuring freight moves on time and customer requirements are met 
• Act as an escalation point for warehouse team members 
• Permanent, full-time role (7 day rotating roster)

Your Primary Responsibilities 

• Lead a busy warehouse team in a time-critical airside environment
• Manage daily inbound and outbound freight operations to meet strict deadlines 
• Coordinate team workloads and ensure team members are appropriately trained
• Ensure compliance with airside, safety, security and operational requirements
• Coordinate closely with transport and operations teams to ensure service delivery levels are being met
• Client/account management
• Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reliability 
• Provide back up support to team members such as forklift operations

Hours of work

Our Brisbane Airport facility is a 24/7 operation so we are looking for individuals who are available to work on a 7 day rotating roster. 

This is a permanent, full-time position. 

ABOUT YOU 

What we're looking for 

• Experience as a Warehouse Manager or Senior Warehouse Supervisor in a fast-paced, high volume airside facility 
• Experience working for a registered establishment
• Solid understanding of domestic and international air freight cargo operations 
• Safety focused and sound understanding of health & safety requirements
• Knowledge of RACA regulations, airport operating procedures and airside compliance requirements 
• Strong people leadership skills 
• Excellent organisational skills 
• Confidence operating under pressure and managing competing priorities 

Required Licences 

• Current Australia Driver's Licence with no restrictions and own transport (there is free parking on site) 
• Current Forklift Licence 
• ASIC card (airside access or eligibility to obtain one)
• Screener accreditation (or ability to obtain)
