AIRWAY is seeking motivated Freight Coordinators to join our Townsville Airport warehouse team, with multiple positions available. If you’re looking for a hands-on role in a fast-paced domestic freight environment, this is a great opportunity to get started or grow your career.
You’ll be part of a small, close-knit team of five, where collaboration is genuine and your contribution is visible every day. This role focuses on domestic air and road freight, ensuring time-critical shipments are handled safely, efficiently, and in line with operational requirements.

About the Role In this role, you will play a key part in the safe and efficient handling of domestic freight movements. Your responsibilities will include:
- Loading and unloading domestic freight in line with standard operating procedures and tight airline schedules
- Operating forklifts and tow motors safely and efficiently
- Ensuring all handling complies with OH&S and aviation safety standards
- Completing warehouse documentation and updating internal systems
- Supporting general warehouse operations, including housekeeping and freight organisation

Skills & Experience
- Previous warehouse or forklift experience (12+ months preferred)
- Strong reliability and punctuality
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling
- Safety-focused with a proactive mindset
- Ability to adapt to changing schedules and operational demands
Licences & Requirements
- LF Forklift Licence (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable transport
- Ability to obtain an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card)
