We’re looking for an experienced Logistics Operations Coordinator to join our team at Brisbane Airport. This is more than a traditional operations role. About the Role

You’ll be responsible for coordinating import and export shipments across air and sea, managing jobs end-to-end while acting as a key link between operations, sales and customers.

This role goes beyond a traditional import/export operations position. It offers exposure to a wide variety of cargo, including out-of-gauge, project, and non-standard shipments that require creative thinking and adaptability.

You’ll need to be comfortable working with a range of stakeholders, adapting your communication style as needed, and confidently influencing outcomes where a better approach may be available.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end import and export operations across air and sea
  • Coordinate bookings, transport, and all shipment documentation
  • Regularly liaise with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of processes
  • Ensure compliance with customs and regulatory requirements
  • Provide clear, proactive updates to clients and internal teams
  • Identify, escalate, and resolve operational challenges — often requiring creative solutions
  • Support a range of shipment types, including FCL, LCL, out-of-gauge, and project cargo
Working Hours
This is a full-time position with standard office hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm.

About You
  • Experience in freight forwarding (imports knowledge essential; exports knowledge highly regarded)
  • Exposure to both sea and air freight operations
  • Strong understanding of shipping documentation and processes
  • Able to follow processes accurately, while also confidently suggesting and driving improvements
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and persuade when needed
  • Resilient, flexible, and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • CargoWise experience is highly regarded
