Business Development Manager - Project, Mining & Construction
Located in South Perth, (WA)
The SEAWAY Group is growing! We’re looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our Projects, Mining and Construction (PMC) division and National Sales team.
Our Projects, Mining and Construction (PMC) division handles the big stuff – roll-on/roll-off, break bulk, heavy lift, out-of-gauge, solar and project cargo. Based atourPerth Office, you’ll have the autonomy to pursue new opportunities while being backed by SEAWAY’s extensive infrastructure, supplier relationships and network.

What You’ll Do
- Proactively identify, pursue and secure new business opportunities
- Develop and maintain an active sales pipeline to achieve new business targets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers through proactive account management
- Identify opportunities to expand customer relationships across SEAWAY’s broader service offering
- Collaborate with PMC and other SEAWAY teams to develop tailored logistics solutions and support new business pursuits
- Represent SEAWAY at customer meetings, industry events and conferences
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development or sales within the freight forwarding industry
- A proven track record of identifying, pursuing and securing new business
- Strong freight forwarding knowledge, with exposure to project cargo, mining, construction or specialised logistics highly regarded
- A confident communicator and relationship builder who can engage effectively with customers and internal stakeholders
- Strong commercial, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- A proactive, results-focused approach with the ability to manage your own sales pipeline
- Experience using CRM systems, with CargoWise experience highly regarded
