SEAWAY are pleased to advertise our vacancy for a Human Resources Intern.

The purpose of this role is to support the HR department in various administrative and operational tasks. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in human resources and understand the inner workings of HR functions such as recruitment, employee relations, and administration. This role will assist the HR team who act as generalists to partner with the business and their objectives.

In completing this internship students will gain valuable insights into a broad spectrum of Human Resources functions, with an end goal of understanding if they want to be HR Generalist or if there is a specific area they may want to specialise in.

The Role

Key Responsibilities: With support from the HR Team 
  • Gain exposure to the recruitment approval process including structure of how requisitions are processed and approved in line with company policy, ensuring follow up where required on pending roles
  • Provide support and assistance to the HR team on various tasks and projects where required
  • Work with HR team to review and update HR policies and procedures
  • Posting job openings on various job boards to attract talent to join our organisation.
  • Coordinating and, scheduling interviews with hiring managers
  • Draft and post job ads for general staff level positions on appropriate job boards in line with content of requisitions
  • General HR Support: Provide general administrative support to the HR Manager as needed, including maintaining employee files, responding to HR inquiries, and assisting with ad hoc projects.
  • Assist administration and HR team with cultural initiatives
