AIRWAY are seeking a sharp, organised Operations Supervisor to join our dynamic, friendly team at our Darwin Airport facility. 

This is a rare opportunity for someone seeking to further develop their career in logistics and take on a leadership role. We are seeking a hands-on individual who can lead by example and ensure staff are appropriately trained and supported to effectively execute their roles. This role will also be responsible for organising, overseeing and the completion of loading air/sea containers for export, domestic airfreight management as well as many other tasks including mining/oil & gas clients plus specialised horticulture treatment and handling.

We will be looking for candidates who have demonstrated strong leadership skills, have a high attention to detail and enjoy problem solving.

The Role 
Your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Act as first point of escalation for customer and supplier related queries
  • Regular liaison with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Ensure strict adherence to legislation and guidelines
  • Complete daily import/export domestic bookings 
  • Ensure all AP and AR invoices are entered into CargoWise accurately and in a timely manner
  • Preparation of various reports and general administration 
  • Assist on management of Vapour Heat Treatment plant and packshed during the mango export season
  • Supervision and coaching of staff to meet standard of work output required
About You Required Skills & Experience:
  • At least 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role 
  • Demonstrated leadership skills 
  • Reliable

  • Ability to work autonomously 
  • Personal and approachable 
  • Forklift licence
  • Safety Focused
