SEAWAY have an exciting role for an Import Operations Officer to work directly alongside one of our Principals – Höegh Autoliners. This is a fantastic entry point into the international shipping and logistics industry, with support and hands-on training provided by some of the best in the business.

As an Import Operations Officer you will be an integral part of the Agencies division. Working alongside our Operations Manager and a friendly, experienced team, you'll support the smooth coordination of import cargo and ensure the highest level of service to our clients and principal.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is eager to learn, take ownership, and grow within a supportive team.
The Role
This role will be responsible for handling the entire import process from receiving orders through to delivery/invoicing. The role will suit an experienced Import Operator with the ability to self-motivate operationally and develop strong relationships with loyal clients.

What will your average day involve?
- High level of customer service in all dealings with Principals and clients
- Regular phone and email management
- Import documentation and invoicing
- Plan and prioritise shipments with specific requirements and deadlines
- Update relevant systems with all known shipment information
- Liaise with shippers, couriers, warehouse staff and customers
- Ad hoc administration & reporting
What are we looking for?
- Experience in a shipping company or other relevant industry experience
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Excellent English verbal & written communication skills
- Intermediate knowledge of all MS office products
- Team Player
- Quick learner
- Passion for RoRo cargo will be highly regarded!
