Coolroom Planning Coordinator

Located in Merbein, Mildura (VIC)

SEAWAY is on the hunt for highly organised, detail-driven individual to join our fast-paced Cool Room Operations team in Merbein. As a Cool Room Planning Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in coordinating the flow of chilled freight, from local pickup to cool room storage and dispatch. If you're a natural multitasker who thrives under pressure and enjoys problem-solving in a logistics environment, this could be the perfect fit for you.

The Role

In this hands-on role, you'll work closely with our Warehouse and Cool Room Managers, helping to manage the daily operations of our cool room facility. You'll be central to planning the movement, storage, and dispatch of temperature-controlled goods.

This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for someone who wants to build a career in cold chain logistics with the support of a strong, experienced team.


What will an average day look like?

A list of your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Coordination of import and export orders
  • Coordinate the inbound and outbound flow of chilled freight
  • Plan and manage cool room storage schedules and space allocations
  • Communicate with transport providers, clients, and warehouse staff to ensure seamless operations
  • Customer Service – phone and email management
  • Perform data entry and generate daily/weekly operational reports


Who are we looking for?

This position will suit an experienced administrator or someone who is looking to develop their career in the transport and logistics industry.
While prior experience in the industry will be highly regarded, it is not essential. Our team will provide training on our systems and processes to help you excel in this role.

Our ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office
  • Intermediate computer literacy and familiarity with software programs
  • Excellent phone manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Flexible on work hours during peak seasons
